The terms, in plain language

MindScore is operated by [operator legal name — to be completed before launch] [registered address — to be completed before launch]. You can reach us at hello@getmindscore.com. Where these terms say “we”, they mean that operator.

MindScore provides interactive assessments and written interpretations of your results, for education and personal interest.

The assessments are not medical or clinical instruments. They do not diagnose, screen for or treat any condition. They are not designed or validated for employment selection, academic placement, legal proceedings or any other consequential decision about a person, and must not be used for those purposes.

None of the assessments is an IQ test, and none produces an IQ score. Where an assessment uses formats that IQ-style tests also use, its result describes accuracy on the items you were shown, not a standing in any population.

If you are concerned about your attention, memory, reaction time or thinking, speak to a qualified health professional. Nothing here is a substitute for that.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MindScore. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission to make a purchase. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 16; if we learn that we have, we delete the record.

Results are affected by your device, your browser, your input method, your environment and your state on the day. A single run is one sample. We describe the limits of each assessment on our methodology page, and we do not warrant that a result is a stable or accurate measure of any underlying ability. Percentiles are shown only once a comparison group is large enough to compute one honestly; before that, none is shown and none should be inferred.

• Taking any assessment is free. The complete written report for an assessment is an optional purchase. All prices are one-time payments in US dollars: $2.99 for an individual report, $4.99 for a two-person compatibility report and $9.99 for the complete bundle. The price is shown, with its currency, on the result page and again on the payment page before you pay.
• There is no subscription and nothing renews. We will never charge you a second time without a new, separate purchase.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
• What each purchase unlocks is listed before you pay, on the page where you pay.
• A two-person compatibility report is unlocked for both participants by a single payment, whichever of you makes it. The other person does not pay again.
• Access is granted after our payment provider confirms the payment to our servers, not merely after your browser returns from the payment page.
• Prices may include or exclude sales tax or VAT depending on where you are; the payment page shows the total you will be charged before you confirm.

A report is digital content that is delivered in full the moment your payment is confirmed. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made online. Because you asked for the report to be delivered immediately, and acknowledged before paying that you would lose that right once delivery started, the right to cancel ends when the report is delivered. We ask for that consent explicitly, we never pre-tick it, and we record when it was given. If we fail to obtain it, you owe nothing for the report.

Separately from any statutory right: if a report fails to unlock, does not load, or is not what the page you paid on described, email hello@getmindscore.com and we will refund you in full. Because a report is delivered immediately and in full, we may decline a refund where the report was delivered as described and has been read, but we would rather refund a disappointed reader than argue, and in practice we do.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.

The compatibility assessment requires two people who each answer independently. You are responsible for who you send an invitation link to: anyone holding it can take the second seat, and we have no way to verify who that is.

Neither participant is shown the other’s answers, and both are told so before answering. What you both see is a score for each of six areas and the joint report.

The joint report describes two self-reports. It is not advice about your relationship, it does not predict anything, and it must not be relied on to decide whether to begin, continue or end one. It is not couples therapy and is not a substitute for it. If either participant deletes their data, the joint report is deleted for both.

Accounts are optional and free. Everything on MindScore works without one. There are no passwords: you sign in with a single-use link sent to your email address.

You are responsible for the security of that inbox, and for the private report links we send you — anyone holding one can read that report. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from your account page.

• Do not attempt to extract answer keys, scoring logic or another person’s results.
• Do not automate, scrape or load-test the assessments.
• Do not resell or republish reports or items as your own.
• Do not submit a display name that identifies another person or is abusive. We remove such entries.

Your responses and results are yours. We store and process them to deliver the service and, in aggregate and anonymised form, to build the comparison groups described in our methodology. You can have your record deleted at any time — see our privacy page.

The assessments, items, figures, scoring rules and report text are ours. You may share your own result links and result cards freely. You may not copy the items or reports for reuse elsewhere.

MindScore is provided as-is and may be unavailable at times. We may change, add or withdraw assessments. If we withdraw an assessment you have paid for, we will keep your existing report accessible or refund you.

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the date of the current version. A change that affects a purchase you have already made does not apply to that purchase.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any decision you or anyone else makes on the basis of a result, because results are expressly not fit for consequential decisions, and our total liability to you in connection with any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

These terms are governed by the law of [operator jurisdiction — to be completed before launch]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
